[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the shade 'Brunch Me' and although I like it very much, I was initially pretty nervous about wearing it due to its terracotta color and my pale skin. It warmed to me and it wears nicely throughout the day. It's not a true matte. It appears matte, but I would say it's more of a satin. It transfers, even after hours of wear. The bullet gives a nice amount of product and the componenet is cute. Smells decadent, but not overpowering. Has no real taste if you get it in your mouth. Depending on activities, it may need reapplied every few hours. It doesn't bunch up or dry out the lips.

Girl, Bye - Totally different color than shown!
I just purchased this in a store. I looked up the color on my phone and saw the gorgeous purple color (which is what I was looking for!), so I made the purchase. I even bought the accompanying lip liner pencil in the same shade. Came home, tried it on, and to my disappointment, it's not purple at all. It brick red. A lovely, color, bit nothing like the photos shown here. The texture is nice and matte and smooth. Not dry. I love it. BUT ithe color is not as advertised. I'm reluctant to purchase any other shades because I'm sure those will be off as well.

Not Dry
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love lipstick and I'm super picky about it. I need good color, easy application, long lasting, comfortable lipstick. Anything short of that is a disappointment. I don't usually like matte lipstick because it can be so drying and uncomfortable. Reapplying can also be problematic as well. Nyx's matte lipsticks are usually too dry for me.
That being said, this Suede Matte lipstick is fantastic. Nyx finally got it right. This formula is creamy, gives one swipe, smooth application with great color payoff. It is comfortable to wear and easy to reapply. The color selection is amazing. Definitely recommend.

Comfortable for a Matte
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this in Brunch Me in the sample pack. I would not have chosen the color (too warm, too brownish orange on my lips), so I'm just going to review the formula. I like the Suede Matte formula better than the Matte formula. It glides on smoothly and evenly. I still get some raisin lip (as with most mattes that I've tried), but I don't feel like all of the moisture is being sucked from my lips. It lasted through drinking water from a cup, but came off on my sandwich and napkin when I was eating. The Soft Matte Cream is still my favorite, but I might purchase this in a more flattering shade.

Great Lipstick
It isn’t my favorite lipstick ever but it is among the top. It’s clearly below my favorites but still far better than most. It stays on better than the average lipstick (as most mattes do) and is a good color. I can use it as a cream blush too if I do so very lightly which is nice because it’s hard to find a blush with purple tones and my skin turns pink ones orange somehow. Unfortunately for my lips, however, this color is not quite as purple as it looks in the picture. Yeah it’s still purple-ish, but it’s more pink than in the picture.

My Fave!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is probably one of the BEST feeling matte lipsticks I've ever worn. The color payoff is amazing & it definitely lasts a while on your lips. Smooth, creamy formula & has a great smell. Doesn't dry your lips out like most matte lipsticks. I don't even need to prime my lips with beeswax before I put it on, its THAT silky smooth & rich. I wasn't exactly a fan of the "Brunch Me" color I got, because it didn't pair well with my skintone, but a few other shades I absolutely loved. I adore the "Lavender & Lace", "Free Spirit", and "Doom" on me. DEF looking forward to getting the "Danity Daze", "Girl, Bye" and "Moonwalk" shades to see how they look on me.

They call it Suede but it goes on like silk!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The texture is even smoother than the Butter line IMO! The color did not quite suit my complexion so I wore it alone for a day and I wore it in combination with a different color from a different matte line of NYX's and I love the results! The two blended effortlessly and nicely! It lasted for the most part of the day until I ate and then I reapplied and I was good to go for the rest of the afternoon!

I Love This Texture!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I Received This Around The Same Time My Uni Had Its Homecoming Week. I Was Getting Ready For Our Concert And Figured “Why Not?” That Was The Best Decision I Ever Made.
It Glided Really Nicely Across The Lips, And It Wasn’t Drying Like My Matte Lipsticks. The Color I Received Was Brunch Me, And I Thought Upon First Glance That It Was Going To Be Pink. It Actually Came Out To Be Sort Of Nude To Me, But I Wasn’t Complaining. I Coupled It With My Lip Pencil In Toast And My Fortune Cookie Butter Gloss. It Lasted Me All Night, Even After A Frat Party. I’d Definitely Wear This Again!
