Not nearly as good as the old formula singles
I used to LOVE the old singles that came in the square container,& was hoping beyond hope that this would be the same, but unfortunately it isn't. It isn't as pigmented as the old formula, & doesn't blend as nicely and just isn't as good. I was especially heartbroken because the old formula matte black (ES01 Black) was IMO the blackest, most pigmented & opaque black on the market, even more so than Urban Decay's Blackout, & now they stopped making it. And the new version matte black, Raven, just doesn't even compare to ES01. And the other colors I've tried just aren't nearly as good as the old ones.

Shadow in Suede
I bought this shadow in the color Suede. I cannot tell you how long I have been looking for a matte transition color. This is it. Amazing. The perfect color for my skin tone. Every single other color that I have found has always been too orange, or too warm or too cool. This one is perfect. I would like to have every neutral shade that NYX makes. This goes on so smooth, with absolutely no fall-out and no shimmer at all. Matte like it describes. Goes on super-buttery smooth, and color payoff is exactly what I wanted.

Love the new formula and shades
I am an avid fan of the discontinued eye shadow singles - I was nervous that these these wouldn't be as good as the singles but I was pleasantly surprised. Do NOT listen to the negative reviews. they are highly pigmented, long wearing, and all around gorgeous. I personally feel the color selections are excellent and fill a lot of gaps of shades they just didn't make in the previous collection. - for example arrogance is a perfect shade of dark/smokey violet that I had been dreaming about but could never find in the singles. I also ordered club crawl, man eater and loaded and they are all excellent shades. Club crawl has a slight purple/lilac tinge to that you can't see in the pics, which to me is a plus.

Why fix what isn't broken?
The new single eyeshadow color range is no where near as appealing and formula completely fails in comparison to the old square singles. I wish they would have kept the old colors and if anything just worked on making them even more velvety than they were before. I also wish they would add a color description for each shade, including the texture or finish (matte, shimmer, satin etc...) PLEASE GIVE US THE OLD SINGLES BACK!

I usually wear MAC products then I came across NYX, I love NYX eyeshadows! Highly pigmented and stays on for awhile. I highly recommended to anyone who wants to have high quality makeup without breaking the bank :-)

The color barely shows up.
I purchased this with the hope that I could have a light yellow eye-shadow look to go with some of my favorite lipsticks. I was disappointing to find, however, that the color doesn't even show up. It isn't that it is too close to my skin tone, granted I am very, very white. The color itself when held next to my skin is darker and much more yellow, yet despite all my attempts, I can't make this show up. Its as if the pigment disappears when I put it on my skin. I additionally tried to make the color show up on my friend who is much darker than me, and it only served to lighten the appearance of her skin, lacking yellow color entirely.

Love at second glance..
I was so excited to try these!! When they finally came into Ulta, I couldn't resist buying a few. When I got home I quickly swatched them with my fingers and was a little disapointed with the pigmentation. Later on I decided to play with them some more, but this time I used a brush and applied them over the white NYX eye shadow base. What a difference! The colors are beautiful and actually quite pigmented. I'm glad I gave these another try.

Love the colors
i as well use MAC. The other day I went to do grocery shopping, I always go to the makeup aisle, oh wow I saw these beautiful colors like MAC. I purchased 4 colors. I just love them!! They go on so nice and stay on. The cost so reasonable and I can buy more than one. I couldn't believe how nice and pretty they are
