Terrible liner, being back the Matte!
Been using the matte eyeliner from them for years but they discontinued it to make this?? It’s absolutely horrible. The liner is so waterproof that I had to rigorously scrub my eye to get it off, even after I had smudge marks left all over my lid. It applies even worse as well, gunky, sticky, and doesn’t dry quick enough so you risk messing up your eyeshadow if you blink. Also, you can’t get the perfect “wing” due to those reasons. Please discontinue this unfriendly product and bring back the matte liner!!! I literally threw this one away and bought myself the Revlon color stay as it works almost as good as the old matte liner from Nyx.

WHY DID U GET RID OF MATTE & VINYL??
I am so sad to hear that they cancelled the matte & vinyl formulas to replace it with this. I hate this. I work at a beauty store & would ALWAYS recommend the original matte & vinyl formulas. I DO NOT recommend this because it’s impossible to get off and the formula is so thick. You can’t just make a single swipe on your eye for a wing, you’ll run out of product since it’s so much thicker. Also, you HAVE to use a waterproof makeup remover to get this off. Make a mistake, be ready to restart your whole look because you be SCRUBBING. Now i have to find a new eyeliner brand after being loyal for years :((((

Tried to a second time and still HATE IT!
NYX can you please please please please please please please bring back the matte and vinyl eyeliners…those liners were awesome and NOTHING compares! Well Juvia’s Place came out with a new liner today …I’m sure they been scoping out how we’ve been begging you to bring the old ones back soooooo you may have some competition on your hands !!! That epic wear eyeliner doesn’t even compare to the matte and vinyl liners so stop recommending it in its place….recognize your customers want to be customers (we’re begging you to take our money) and bring back those gems that were really the highlight of your company

BRING BACK VINYL
I have used NYX matte liquid and vinyl liner for as long as I can remember. I always keep 2 to 3 in my house. I wish I would have stocked up last time I bought it. I got this new liner in black, and immediately thought I grabbed a defective one because of the brush. A FLAT brush that is supposed to be used for precision and wings? Not the case. They actually meant to make this! The consistency is like many other reviews have said, it is like paint. It is thick and does not go on smooth. I had to go over my lines so many times, it was like I was using old clumpy nail polish as eye liner.
Absolutely disappointing as now I have to find a new liner.

Not very good :(
Decided to buy this after not being able to find the matte liquid eyeliner, really disappointed finding out it was discontinued. This liner does not work nearly as well as the matte one did. The brush is bigger and the liner itself is very thick/gloopy and sticky. It's very difficult to get a straight line or a good point because of the brush and formula. I also think that this eyeliner is a bit less pigmented than the matte one was and you need to layer it up to get it to be fully black (which doesn't work out bcs of how gooey it is) The liner's one redeeming quality is that it is super long lasting so if you can get it to work for you it won't budge.

I've been a loyal Nyx fan for over 10 years and wore the Vinyl Liquid Liner literally everyday. Heartbroken that it was discontinued, I tried the Epic Ink liner in black. I previously had tried the white version and hated it but since Nyx has gotten rid of my literally favorite eyeliner on the market, I thought I would give it another shot. I hate it, its sticky and stringy and the brush is thick with a blunt end and nowhere near as precise as my beloved thin pointed Vinyl Liner brushes. I guess it's time to look for another brand of liquid eyeliner now as they have gotten rid of the whole line of Vinyl liners. Bad move Nyx.

Gunky, Sticky, and Hard to Use
I used the matte liquid liner for years. When it was discontinued, I gave this one a try hoping it would be as good or better. (After all, why would they discontinue an awesome product and replace it with something worse?) I consider myself pretty skilled at applying liquid eyeliner and this stuff was shockingly difficult to work with. It's got an awful syrup-like consistency that makes fine detail work (and sharp wings) pretty much impossible. The one pro, it does stay on. But given how awful it looks, I'm not sure I'd want it to. Time to find a new brand of liquid liner.

BRING BACK MATTE LIQUID LINER
I'm so disappointed they discontinued the Matte Liquid Liner, it was the only eyeliner I used over the last 8 or so years and was the product I recommended to friends more than any other makeup item. I bought the Epic Wear Liner hoping it would be comparable to the Matte Liquid Liner but it's completely different and has me really disappointed. It's goopy and not as easy to get a good wing point with, I also had to dip the brush 4 times to do one eye which I've never had to do before and I'm worried that'll lead to the product becoming gunky faster. All in all, I just miss the Matte Liquid Liner.
